OMG! This is so sad! Shifty Shellshock from Crazy Town has died at 49. Can you believe it?!?!

Shifty Shellshock Dead At 49: ‘Butterfly’ Singer Gone Too Soon

This is some tragic news, folks! Shifty, whose real name is Seth Binzer, was found dead at his home on Monday. No cause of death has been released, but the LA County Medical Examiner is investigating.

Did U Know?

Crazy Town’s iconic hit “Butterfly” actually samples the Red Hot Chilli Peppers “Pretty Little Ditty”!

Shifty was best known as the frontman of Crazy Town, the rap-rock band that took over the airwaves in the late ‘90s and early ‘00s with their smash hit “Butterfly.” Remember that song? It was EVERYWHERE!

Crazy Town Struggles

But even with their huge success, Crazy Town faced a lot of drama over the years. They had band members come and go, and Shifty struggled with addiction for a long time. He even appeared on Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew back in 2008 to try and get clean.

RIP Shifty

Shifty is survived by his two sons, Halo and Gage. My heart goes out to them and the rest of his family and friends during this difficult time. This is a reminder that life is precious and can be taken away from us way too soon.

Shifty will always be remembered for his musical contributions and his unique style. He was a true original, and he’ll be missed.
